At the Spazio Incontri of the Hotel Excelsior – Venice Production Bridge at the Lido of Venice, the sixth edition of the Seminar on gender equality and inclusion in the film industry will take place.
The event is promoted by La Biennale di Venezia, Eurimages, and WIFTM Italy.
The appointment is unique in its kind in Italy, for the quality of the data presented, which are to become a reference for the sector every time.
Equally important is the dialogue space that the panel offers, with its spotlight focused year after year on areas that are little or insufficiently illuminated.
This year, the focus is on film distribution with the complementary and opposing perspectives of the guests, Barbara Bladier, Distribution Manager at Vision Distribution, and Antonietta De Lillo, director, author, and founder of marechiarofilm, who is present at Notti Veneziane with her latest work, The Eye of the Hen.
Events 2023

On Monday, September 4th 2023, the presentation event for the "Film&Parità" project was held, organized by the Regional Equality Councilor Francesca Torelli at the Veneto Region Stand at the Excelsior Hotel on the Lido of Venice.
After the institutional greetings from the President of the VI Commission of the Regional Council, Francesca Scatto, there was a deep dive into the relationship between the film industry, inclusion, and gender equality, featuring contributions from experts in the field:
Maria Roberta Novielli, Artistic Direction - General Organization of the Ca' Foscari Short Film Festival;
Giuliana Fantoni, Mentor of the ANEC - LED - Cinema Operators Leaders program; Elisa Frasinetti, Location Manager.

The annual appointment with the statistics and insights from Biennale, Eurimages, MiC, and WIFTMI took place on September 5th and was very rich and very relevant.
The special focus was dedicated for the first time to the numbers of interpreters in Italy through two in-depth analyses and two perspectives that engage in dialogue and highlight the immediately stated need to continue investigating a profession that is crucial for our imagination.
But let's go in order.
The work was initiated by the greetings of the president of the Venice Biennale, Roberto Cicutto, and the Regional Equality Councilor of the Veneto Region, Francesca Torelli.
The Deputy Director General of the Biennale, Debora Rossi, and the General Director of the Biennale, Andrea Del Mercato, then presented the 2023 figures of the organization and the Exhibition.
It is possible to see the full video of the speech by the Equality Counselor at the event Annual Seminar on Gender Equality and Inclusivity in the Film Industry in the box on the left.
